                                                                                                                                           Sunday, July 6 : Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the United States on your international flight.Stone Wall

Monday, July 7 : You will be welcomed to the Holy Land by our representative and begin our tour with a visit to Caesarea by the Sea where Paul left as a prisoner to Rome.  After our visit at this beautiful site, we'll continue to the Galilee area where we will check into our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Tuesday, July 8 : Today we'll begin with a visit and an opportunity to dig at the archaeological site of Bethsaida, the home of three of the disciples.  From there we'll go for some fun as we kayak on the Jordan River. Afterwards we'll continue our tour with a visit to the hills above the Sea, where we find the Mount of Beatitudes.  It was here that Jesus gave us the beautiful words from Matthew's Gospel. We'll spend a little quiet time here, as at other sites, for sharing insights and inspiration.  Next we'll continue to Capernaum, center of Jesus' Galilean ministry.  We'll end the day with a Boat Ride across the Sea of Galilee.  Finally, we'll return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Wednesday, July 9: Jordan River This morning we'll drive through Cana, where Jesus turned the water into wine - his first recorded demonstration of God's power.  From there we'll proceed to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood years.  Next we'll travel to the site of King Solomon's "Chariot City" of Megiddo, atop the ruins of 20 ancient cities overlooking the great battlefield of ancient Palestine. And finally we'll go to Mt Carmel where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal. After our visit here we'll drive through the hills of the Galilee area back to our hotel in Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.

Thursday, July 10 : We'll awaken early to celebrate the Morning Meal on the Galilean shore.  We'll then visit the Jordan River on our way to see the Roman ruins at Beit Shean, which was continuously inhabited for 5,000 years.  From there we'll transfer to the Sheikh Hussien Bridge where we'll cross the border to Jordan.  We'll travel to Amman for a tour of the highlights of this beautiful city before we check into our hotel for overnight. 

Friday, July 11: We'll begin our day today with a visit to the Christian village of Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land.  Next, we'll visit Mount Nebo from which Moses viewed the Promised Land. We'll stop to view Machaerus, a mountain-top fortress palace overlooking the Dead Sea, where John the Baptist was imprisoned and beheaded.  We'll drive along the King's Highway as we travel to Shawback's Crusader Castle and continue to Petra for dinner and overnight.

Saturday, July 12 : Today we'll explore the Red Rose City of Petra.  This 2000-year old city was carved by the Nabateans out of the native rock. It has been protected through the centuries by a ring of mountains surrounding the area.  We will take a horse ride to the dramatic "Ciq" or canyon where we'll see the famous Treasury, carved in pink stone.  We will continue past the Roman Theatre, the Corinthian Tomb and the Palace Tomb to the Roman Road where we’ll stop for lunch. Those who wish, can climb the 900 steps to the “Monastery” for a spectacular view.  We'll travel from Petra to the port city of Aqaba to cross the border back to Israel.  Dinner and overnight will be in Eilat.

Sunday, July 13 : Today before leaving Eilat we'll visit a well-known Bird Sanctuary to observe the great work they're doing in that strategic migration route between Africa and Europe.  We'll travel through the Negev Desert to Masada, the amazing mountain-top fortress built by Herod and site of the final battle in the Jewish rebellion against the Romans. After our visit to Masada, we will travel along the Dead Sea, passing En Gedi.  We'll stop for a brief time to "float" in the water of the Dead Sea before we begin our drive up to Jerusalem. On the way we'll pass by Jericho, the world's oldest inhabited city.  It was there that Elisha healed the waters. We'll view the Mount of Temptation and the Judean Desert along the way. We'll enter Jerusalem and stop for a brief view of the city and Bible reading before going to check in to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Monday, July 14 : This morning we'll begin with a visit to the Mount of Olives where we'll see a  breath-taking Panoramic View of the Old City of Jerusalem. We'll walk part of the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus went with the disciples on the final night before his crucifixion. There we'll visit the Church of All Nations and the garden with its ancient olive trees. We'll finish our day at the Shepherds' Field on the outskirts of Bethlehem, commemorating the birth of Jesus.  After that we'll have time for shopping for Holy Land souvenirs. From there we'll go to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Tuesday, July 15: Today we will begin with a visit to the Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock mosque. We'll continue from there to the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed the crippled man.  We'll sing a hymn in the Church of St. Anne.  We'll visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and walk through the fascinating Arab market. We'll continue to Mount Zion where we'll see the Upper Room and King David's Tomb as well as the House of Caiaphas where Jesus was imprisoned for a night.  We'll end the day with a visit to the Model Jerusalem street sceneof first Century Jerusalem.  Finally, we'll return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Wednesday, July 16: Today we'll begin our day with a visit to the Western Wall, the place most precious for Jews around the world.  We'll continue with a walk around the ramparts of the Old City of Jerusalem on our way to visit the Roman Cardo in the Jewish Quarter. We'll leave the Old City for a drive to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. After our visit there we'll stop along the Roman  Road that runs from Jericho to Jerusalem. Upon our return to Jerusalem we'll visit the Israel Museum which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Nearby we'll view the Israeli Knesset, seat of the Israeli Parliament and government offices.  This evening we'll join the local Christian Science Society in Jerusalem for a testimony meeting.  From there we'll return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Thursday, July 17: Today we’ll complete our tour of Jerusalem with a very special visit to the Garden Tomb and some time for reflection.  We'll stop at a Biblical Garden Museum and continue to Jaffa (Joppa) for dinner before going to the airport to check in for our flight back to the U.S.A

Friday, July 18: You'll arrive home full of new insights and understandings about the Bible and the Land of Jesus.
